This place was amazing I went with my family for dinner and we loved it we had the oyster nachos as a appetizer and the pico went great with the chipotle sauce on the chips I personally got the shrimp and lobster grilled cheese with a side of potatoes and 10/10 the flavor was perfect together we didn’t even need a box at the end since nothing was left on our plates Although I do recommend on bringing a jacket here the AC is no joke here
The staff is so attentive and welcoming. It’s one of my favorite spots to come to when in town! David and lance are so great at what they do. Food is always fresh and tasty, I definitely recommend the blueberry cheesecake! 10/10
The food and drinks were excellent! My favorite was the oyster nachos and the bisque. The shrimp tacos were good(and plentiful), just a bit spicy for me.
The atmosphere is relaxed and chill, yet the food is truly gourmet. The flavors are amazing and the presentation is impeccable. This is a must!!!!
Outstanding seafood with exceptional service As someone who visits Lakeland annually, I'm thrilled to have found Fish City Grill. My expectations for non-fried fish options are usually modest, but this place exceeded them completely. First impressions were excellent. They post daily specials on their website each morning, and when we arrived just before noon on Sunday, staff immediately accommodated our wheelchair user with genuine warmth. Our server David was kind, friendly, and incredibly helpful. We tried three daily specials and every dish was outstanding. Some of the best fish entrees I've had, with appropriate adult portions (not the overwhelming servings typical of American restaurants) and fair pricing. What really impressed me was the consistent kindness across all staff. How did they assemble such a great team? It's rare to find this level of service quality. The atmosphere is pleasant but unremarkable. Fine for dining but not particularly memorable. The TVs at the bar seem unnecessary, though that's more a general restaurant trend than specific to this establishment. Food and service alone make this a must-visit on my future Lakeland trips. Highly recommend!
Food was amazing absolutely the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had!
I had the blackened fish and shrimp plus the gumbo to start. It was all so flavorful and filling. My friend got their famous oysters nachos! I’ll definitely be back!
Had a night out with family and friends. We started with the baked crab dip and broiled oysters. Both were good but the oysters were a little fishy for my liking. I enjoyed them better on my fried seafood platter. Husband had the rolled fish tacos and said they were very good. The rest of our party had the reddish with shrimp, clam chowder and the blue salad. All said they enjoyed it and would recommend. The best part of our visit though was our waiter David. He was very attentive and there at all the right moments. He made our visit most enjoyable!
We are in Lakeland a second town within 2 weeks. My husband has a work assignment here and we are living in a hotel and eat out daily. We were referred to Fish City by a Server in another restaurant. She told about the Chalkboard specials, the $5 Happy Hour Margaritas and urged us to try the Oyster Nachos!! Sean was our awesome server on our first visit! The $5 Margaritas did not miss and the oyster nachos were an absolute party in my husband's and my mouth!! Deelish!! I had the Sea Bass with the Chimichurro sauce, I think that is what its called, OMG divine and it came with spinach and potatoes. I loved it! The fish was huge so I had a take out box for the remainder. I cant remember what my husband had besides the black beans but the photo is below! He enjoyed his meal and we both sent our regards to the Chef. Sean was super with informing us of the menu and staying attentive to our needs as we dined, he even took time to chat with me and answer my questions about his residing in Lakeland. I am always curious of people's history. I took the blueberry cobbler cheesecake to go and it was AMAZING!! Thanks Fish City Grill and Cudos Sean!!
I took my fiance here for a Valentines Day lunch after reading so many positive reviews about this restaurant. We walked in and it was a awesome atmosphere. The smiles on customers and employees faces was really nice to see. Jenny was our server and she has a wonderfully, professional and kind personality. She offered information on almost everything they have. When we received our food it was a lot more than we were both expecting. I had the catfish, fries and coleslaw and my fiance had the seafood platter. It tasted fantastic. Thank you Fish City Grill and Jenny for making our day great.
